At HES, We Choose LOVE!
We have been a part of the Choose Love Movement for over 7 years now at Hillsboro Elementary. It has changed the way we do things and enhanced the culture on campus so much. Daily we see reminders of ways our students, staff and families are choosing to show Courage, Gratitude, Forgiveness and Compassion in Action. It's not just something we "do", but it's who we ARE!
As a Choose Love Certified School, we work hard to spread the message and are so thankful to get to participate in special outreach opportunities within our community and across the state, nation and world. Recently a few of our staff and students, along with friends from Hillsboro Intermediate, were able to create short videos expressing how Choose Love has helped them and others and what goals we have for the future of Choose Love in HISD.

Super Teacher of the Month
Congratulations to our January Super Teacher of the Month, Robin Merkel, Math Interventionist!
She will hold the crystal apple for the next month and was presented a gift certificate by our partners at Horace Mann.
