What is i-Ready?

i-Ready was created in 2011 as a combination of the i-Ready Inform (formerly i-Ready Diagnostic) (i.e., i-Ready test) and an online instruction program, i-Ready Personalized Instruction. i-Ready Personalized Instruction is a research-based program for students in Grades K–8 with an individualized plan for mathematics and literacy instruction based on each student’s performance on the i-Ready Inform (formerly i-Ready Diagnostic) test. Once students complete the Diagnostic, i-Ready builds a unique lesson plan for each learner based on their individual results. i-Ready also gives teachers the flexibility to add lessons or adjust the lesson sequence based on their own knowledge of their students, helping to meet and elevate them from exactly where they are.

At HES, students participate in the Diagnostic screeners three times a year. i-Ready data is then reviewed and utilized to help plan Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports both for Intervention and Enrichment. A focus we have for students is expanding their vocabulary knowledge. You can help with this at home too with this i-Ready Vocab List.
